Mike entered the MFL straight out of high school and was named the MFL's most outstanding Rookie in 2007. He quickly became respected throughout the league for his tenacity on special teams and his big hits in the defensive secondary. For 2 seasons Mike played for both the Mustangs and the Acadia Axemen concurrently before his role on the Axemen required his to give up playing summer football. At Acadia Mike earned All Canadian status in 2009 before being signed as an un-drafted free agent with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2011. Mike won a Grey Cup with the Eskimos in 2015 and is currently playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
