​After four seasons at the helm of the Mustangs, Coach Terris is excited for his fifth in 2020. As three time MFL Coach of the Year, he has led the Mustangs to the Maritime Bowl Championship game in each of his seasons as head coach winning the Maritime championship in 2017 and 2019 and led the 2018 team to an undefeated first place finish in the 2018 regular season. Received the Football New Brunswick Volunteer of the Year award in 2017 for his work in adult football.

​As a perennial all-star, Jason won the MFL Defensive Player of the League award in 2002 and was named to the MFL All-Decade Team in 2010. Played for all four championship teams during the 2007 to 2010 Mustangs dynasty as a team captain. In 2017, Jason was recognized by the Mustangs Alumni and inducted into the Moncton Mustangs Hall of Fame.

Jason played college football at Saint Mary's University. Redshirted as a 17 year old among a roster of players in their mid-late 20s, he found playing time in his second season with the program on a Vanier Cup national championship team in 2001, With his national championship teammates and coaches, Jason was inducted into the SMU Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.

In high school, captained the Riverview High School Royals where he has coached intermittently ever since. Jason has guest coached at the St. Francis Xavier X-Men in their spring training camp.

​Professionally certified as a civil engineering technologist, Jason works full-time as a construction inspector with CBCL Limited. He and his wife Meghan currently reside in Lower Coverdale with their black labrador retriever Buehrle.
