Jason Terris returns in 2023 as Head Coach of the 3-straight defending champion Moncton Mustangs. Coach Terris looks to improve upon his 31-7-1 record as bench boss when the Mustangs kickoff the 2023 season on April 29th.

Chris Gaines

Assistant Head Coach | Linebackers

2023 will be Coach Gaines' 7th season as LB coach and 2nd as the Assistant HC. Chris has 4 championships as a coach and 3 as a 2x MFL All-Star Offensive Guard. He also currently coaches at Riverview High School.

Chris also serves the Mustangs on the executive board as Director of Player Personnel and is the Content Manager of the Mustangs social media accounts.

Introduction to Competition

Corey Lirette

Offensive Coordinator | Quarterbacks

Coach Lirette enters 2023 in his 2nd year as Offensive Coordinator and 1st as Quarterbacks coach. Corey took over the role while rehabbing from surgery in the 2022 pre-season after the position became available, and retired as a player in the 2022 post-season in order focus on coaching for the Mustangs full time.

Corey is a 2x league all-star as a player on the offensive line, and 2021 co-OL of the Year. He has won 4 championships as a player, and 1 as a coach. Coach Lirette's lone season as OC in 2022 saw his unit break the league record for most points-per-game scored, averaging 50.8 ppg.

Tyler Cameron

Defensive Coordinator

Coach Cameron will be taking on the role of defensive coordinator for the 2023 season. Tyler was the defensive coordinator for the recently crowned champion Riverview High School Royals in the 2022 NBIAA football season. Tyler is hoping for similar success in 2023 in his first season as the Mustangs DC.
