Brian Agnew
Inducted in 2016
Brian Agnew, former Offensive Coordination and Head Coach guided the team to multiple championships before stepping away following the 2013 season to spend more time with his wife and family. Brian continued to be involved with Mustangs in various capacities after his tenure as head coach until his unexpected passing on July 12, 2015. His passing has left a great void in the Mustangs family as well as the Maritime football community in general. As we reflect on his many accomplishments, and his legacy of leadership, volunteerism, and passion for excellence we realize how fortunate we have for having known him and called him a friend.. Brian’s involvement in NB sports was broad. Whether it was playing, refereeing or coaching, Brian gave everything he had and that was the only way he knew how. Along the way, he earned the NB Football Lifetime Achievement Award, was a finalist for NFL Canadian Coach of the year, and was posthumously named to the Moncton Sports Wall of Fame. Brian was inducted in the Mustangs Hall of Fame in the inaugural 2016 class.
